Frigid Greetings, dear Friends!  Well, here we are amidst December...we knew it was going to happen sooner or later.  The snow has made her seasonal debut and the icy temps have accompanied her in grand fashion.  Ahhhh, to live in Chicago in winter.  It's always a character-builder.  Might I suggest attending one or more of the following shows?  It's a great way to gather with friends in a warm environment and support the outstanding talent that Chicago has to offer.  Jay and I hope to see you around town!

TORN REQUIEM
We at Farview Recording are very lucky, and blessed, to have worked with so many talented artists.  So we shouldn't have been so surprised when Torn Requiem graced the studio to record a 5 song demo CD.  I don't mind admitting that our jaws were on the floor as Jay and I tried to wrap our brains around this band.  Yes, each member of this quintet is really good and has mastered his respective instrument.  Yes, this band writes really good tunes.  So what is it about Torn Requiem that had us awestruck?  Each of the 5 members of the band are still in their teens!  And yet they come across as seasoned, veteran professionals.
We invite you to be amazed for yourself.   Go to their MySpace (www.myspace.com/tornrequiem), or better yet, check 'em out live: December 7th at 9:30pm - Just For Fun in McHenry, IL.
  Prepare to be wowwed!

WEREWOLF
Aaahhhhh-Oooooooooooo!!!!  We were howling at the full moon here at Farview Recording when Werewolf recorded their 4 song demo recently.  The hard-n-heavy four-piece band did an awesome job in the studio.  Jay and I are looking forward to seeing Werewolf perform live and urge everyone to do the same.  You have two opportunities to be blown away by Werewolf this month: the 15th at Brauerhouse in Hillside and the 29th at Otto's in DeKalb.   Check out their MySpace:  www.myspace.com/whoiswerewolf  I'm quite certain you will like what you hear!

December 8th...
We lost two brilliant musicians on this date.  Both to heinous acts of violence.   Perhaps we can honor the lives of John Lennon and Dimebag Darrell by making a commitment to peace and to the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you".  Or as they say at the House of Blues, "Help Ever - Hurt Never".

We value you and your friendship.  We wish for you countless blessings, peace, prosperity, health and success in whatever you choose to do.

Take care of yourself and each other,

Kristin Joy Walsh
